๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŒˆ Learning Through Music! ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŽถ Today in music class, our Cubs were Engaged Citizens as we learned about the incredible life and legacy of Dolly Parton! ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽค Through the book Dolly!, students learned about Dollyโ€™s life and the lasting mark she has made on the world through her music, kindness, generosity, and empathetic spirit. ๐Ÿ’— We listened to ๐ŸŽต Coat of Many Colors and then got creative by coloring our very own coats! ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Students were reminded that itโ€™s not what we have on the outside that matters mostโ€”itโ€™s the love and kindness we carry on the inside. โค๏ธ What a beautiful way to Love. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’™ Our Class Is a Family! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š Mrs. Whiteโ€™s and Mrs. Shepherdโ€™s Cubs read Our Class Is a Family and celebrated what makes their classroom community so special by making friendship bracelets! ๐Ÿงตโœจ As Active Collaborators and Engaged Citizens, students talked about kindness, belonging, and how we can support one another. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’› Each bracelet included meaningful bead colors: ๐Ÿ”ด Red: Be kind ๐ŸŸ  Orange: Be respectful ๐ŸŸก Yellow: Be yourself ๐ŸŸข Green: Be different ๐Ÿ”ต Blue: Stick together ๐ŸŸฃ Purple: Make memories Each bracelet was a little reminder that we are stronger when we learn and grow together! We love building classrooms where every Cub feels valued, connected, and ready to love, learn, and lead! ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿชฑ๐Ÿ›Ÿ Can We Save Fred?! ๐Ÿ›Ÿ๐Ÿชฑ Mrs. Blackburnโ€™s class took on a STEM challenge with one important mission: SAVE FRED! ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿชฑ Students worked together to rescue Fred the worm, using teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills to figure out the best way to complete the challenge. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿค This hands-on activity was about so much more than saving a worm! It helped our Cubs practice Active Collaboration and Problem Solving while learning how to communicate, cooperate, and work together toward a common goal. ๐Ÿง โœจ Most importantly, our Cubs were building a stronger classroom communityโ€”learning that sometimes the best solutions happen when we work together! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ Another fun way to love, learn, and lead at SCES! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ”ฌ๐ŸŒฑ Exploring, Creating, and Solving in the STEAM Lab! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”ฌ It was a busy week in the SCES STEAM Lab! ๐Ÿ’ก Our young scientists and innovators made observations, investigated plant structures, solved plant โ€œpatientโ€ mysteries, and transformed ordinary sticks into imaginative creations. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿชตโœจ Through every activity, our Cubs practiced curiosity, creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solvingโ€”the heart of STEAM learning! They showed what it means to be Empowered Learners as they asked questions, explored new ideas, and worked together to find solutions. They also demonstrated the competencies of Problem Solvers, Effective Communicators, Collaborators, and Innovators as they observed carefully, shared ideas, designed creative solutions, and learned from one another. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿป We love watching our Cubs Love. ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒญ Courage and Kindness in the Classroom! ๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿ“š Mrs. Abellโ€™s and Mrs. Mooneyโ€™s Cubs listened to the story Spaghettiโ€™s in a Hot Dog Bun: Having the Courage To Be Who You Are before enjoying their own snack! ๐ŸŒญโœจ The story reminded them about the importance of being courageous, staying true to themselves, and showing kindness to others. ๐Ÿ’› Our Cubs practiced being Empowered Learners as they listened, reflected, and connected the storyโ€™s message to their own lives. They also showed what it means to be Kind Leaders by thinking about how their words and actions can make a difference! ๐ŸŒŸ We love watching our Cubs Love. Learn. ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿฅ” Creativity in the Art Room! ๐Ÿฅ”๐ŸŽจ Mrs. Whiteโ€™s and Mrs. Shepherdโ€™s Cubs had a blast creating in the art room with Ms. Pfeiffer! ๐Ÿ–๏ธโœจ They started by drawing their very own Potato Head creations ๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘‚ and then got to let their imaginations take over during some free-drawing time! ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ This creative experience helped our Cubs practice being Empowered Learners as they made choices, explored their own ideas, and expressed themselves through art. They also put on their Problem Solver hats as they figured out how to bring their Potato Head designs to life! ๐Ÿ’ก๐ŸŽจ We love watching our Cubs Love. Learn.
