🌳🚌 Field Trip Fun! 🚌🌳 Our 1st grade Cubs had the BEST day at The Parklands! 🐻✨ They explored fossils 🦴, investigated owl pellets 🦉, hunted for bugs 🐞, and even splashed around in the creek 💦 before wrapping up with some playground fun! 🎉 Along the way, they grew as Problem Solvers and Engaged Citizens while discovering the amazing world around them. 🌎💡 At SCES, we Love. ✨📏 Mrs. Smith’s 5th Grade mathematicians are putting their math thinking on display using vertical whiteboards! 🖊️➕➗ 🤝 As Active Collaborators, they work together to tackle problems, explain each step, and make sure every voice is heard. 🗣️ With math vocabulary and reasoning, they’re growing as Effective Communicators who can clearly share their ideas. 💡 Math is more than answers—it’s teamwork, problem-solving, and communication at its best! 🙌❤️ #LoveLearnLead 💕📚🌟

1, 2, 3, 4....We declare a Penny War! Our annual Penny War starts on Monday. Students can bring in money to vote for (or against) their favorite team. It's a Wildcat vs Cardinal showdown! Rules: (We help the Cubs) 1. Pennies count as votes towards your team. 2. Silver coins and cash take away votes. Money is collected every morning next week. On Friday students can purchase red or blue glow necklaces. Take the weekend to look for change under your couches. Our Cubs LOVE this tradition! We can't wait for our Fall Festival on Friday!!!

🍎🍂 Fall in Love with Learning! 🍂🍎 This week, Mrs. Mac’s class was diving into autumn adventures in the best way! 🌟 Students measured themselves using fall leaves 🍁📏 and enjoyed an apple tasting with three different kinds of apples! 🍏🍎🍎 These Cubs showed off their skills as Problem Solvers and Active Collaborators while making learning hands-on and fun. 🐻🙌 At SCES, we Love. This week, our kindergarten Cubs were so excited to learn about the positive effects of handwashing from the amazing SCHS nursing pathway students! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️💙 They shared tips, answered questions, and reminded us how something simple can make a BIG difference in staying healthy. 🙌🌟

Our Cubs practiced being Engaged Citizens by learning how to take care of themselves and others. 🐻💡

📝✨ Parts of Speech Sort Fun! ✨📝 Mrs. Tobbe’s 3rd graders took on Reading Standard L.3.1a by working together to sort words into the correct parts of speech. 💡🔤 Students explained their thinking, defended their choices, and collaborated as a team to get it just right. 🙌 One student summed it up perfectly: “We make a really great team.” 💙 These Active Collaborators and Effective Communicators showed us what it means to Love. 🎉👩‍🏫 Distributive Doctors in Action! 👨‍🏫🎉 Mrs. Ousley’s class put on their “doctor coats” today and got hands-on with the Distributive Property! 🧠💡 Using colorful play dough, these mathematicians “dissected” multiplication problems to see how they can be broken apart, rearranged, and solved in new ways. 🎨➗✖️ Our Problem Solvers and Empowered Learners had a blast bringing math to life while building a deeper understanding. 🙌📚 At SCES, we Love.
