Principal's Message

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jared Scott. My wife and I live on a small family farm with our two children. We enjoy being outside and playing with our assortment of farm animals. In our spare time, we show Tennessee Walking Horses and are always supporting the University of Kentucky in any sport. 

During my tenure in education, I have been blessed to have experience as a primary and intermediate teacher. I have also spent time as an instructional coach. In total, I have 12 years experience being inside elementary classrooms.

I feel fortunate to be able to serve Spencer County Elementary. All roles in a school are vital. Our goal is to always support everyone inside the walls of SCES. There is no greater power than a strong community and quality education.

Our vision here at Spencer County Elementary is, “Love, Learn, Lead.” We want students to see the love we have for them on a daily basis. We also want to empower them to reach their potential academically, and grow as current and future leaders.

We are excited about moving forward as a school and seeing the value in the whole child.
