The goal of the Youth Service Center (YSC) is to connect students and families with the resources they need to promote academic achievement, healthy lifestyles, and future success.
The YSC provides:
Referrals to health & social services.
Employment counseling, training and placement.
Summer and part-time job development.
Drug and alcohol abuse education/counseling.
Family crisis and mental health counseling.
Educational Support.

Community Action Network

Backpack Buddy Program
The Backpack budy program provides families with a food need, a bag of food each week for their student(s). The Items are single serve, easy to prepare meals or snacks. Currently the Family Resource and Youth Service Center (FRYSC) are serving about 250 students from PreK-12th grade. If you would like to support this program you may donate food items listed on below or make a tax deductible donation. Thank you and feel free to contact us if you have questions.

* If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to Spencer Co. FRYSC "Backpack Buddies", Food donations can be drooped off at the FRC or YS at any school.
The Dinner Table Projects
Table Talks is an extension of The Dinner Table Project geared toward having meaningful conversations with your teenager. We know that open communication and a strong relationship with your child starts at a young age; however, the conversation needs to continue into adolescence and young adulthood. We're here to help!
