Assistant Principal

Hello Cub Family! 

My name is Samantha Dennis and I am your Assistant Principal. I have taught 4th grade and kindergarten at SCES and I was the Instructional Coach before becoming the assistant principal. This is my 13th year in elementary education. I am looking forward to serving in this position and making SCES the best place to learn! 

I live in Spencer County with my husband and two daughters. My oldest daughter attends SCES for 1st grade and my youngest daughter is 3. We love being a part of the Spencer County community and I am excited to watch my daughters in this school system. 

In my free time I love spending time with my family at Lake Cumberland, reading, and cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats! GO CATS!

Our school vision of Love. Learn. Lead. is what I also want to do as a leader. I know that every relationship begins with love, after that we can learn from one another, and then we can lead others in a positive direction. I am looking forward to working with our students, families, and staff this school year.
